We have also launched a new Members Only section of the Mission First Alliance website.
Each month, our virtual gatherings give Alliance members an opportunity to connect and hear from leaders and organizations doing incredible work in the first responder community. Now, members can access the video recordings from those gatherings in one convenient place.

We are especially excited about several new resources that have been completed and will be made available for free.
Living Mission First – A Discipleship Study for First Responders, by Jeremy Wade and others, is a new resource designed specifically to help first responders grow as disciples of Jesus while navigating the unique realities of their profession and calling.

A New National Prayer Initiative Is Launching October 28
Perhaps one of the announcements we are most excited about is the launch of a National Prayer Initiative on National First Responder Day, October 28.
We want to see churches and communities across the country intentionally pray for the first responders who serve them every day.
The vision is simple.
On October 28, we are asking churches to rally people in their communities to gather at the flagpole of a local police, fire, EMS, or dispatch facility and pray for the first responders who serve there, and for their families.
Imagine what could happen if, all across the country, first responders looked outside their facilities and saw people from their communities gathered simply to pray for them.
Mission First Alliance will provide information and guidance for church leaders who want to participate. We also plan to share the locations being prayed over that day so we can see and celebrate the collective impact happening across the nation.
More details are coming soon, but now is a great time to begin thinking about the first responder agencies in your community and the churches and people you could invite to participate.

For more than two years, we’ve talked about the need for a podcast like this. Every day, first responders run toward chaos, tragedy, and darkness, often carrying burdens few people ever see. They need hope. They need encouragement. They need examples to follow.
Behind the sirens, long shifts, and unseen battles, God is at work in powerful and unexpected ways.
The Living Mission First Podcast exists to share those stories. Each episode features first responders who are living Mission First for Christ, men and women who see their badge, uniform, and calling not just as a job, but as a mission field. These are honest conversations about courage, faith, and resilience. Stories of hope found in hard places. Faith lived out in real time. Christ moving in the most unlikely moments.
Whether you serve on the front lines, support someone who does, or simply need encouragement, our prayer is that this podcast reminds you that you are not alone, and that God is still writing stories of redemption, even in the darkest places.

The story of going to Mar-A-Lago really began weeks before the event, when we received a text from Kyle Reyes (the organizer) inviting us to attend the first annual Big Blue Bash Gala at President Trump’s Mar-A-Lago property. With tickets starting at $5,000—and the date landing during a very busy season of travel for Mission First Alliance—we respectfully declined. A few weeks later, Kyle reached out again to ask if we could attend if the tickets were donated at half price. Even then, it simply wasn’t possible for us financially, so we declined once more. We were completely at peace with the decision and already felt honored just to be invited.
Then, just over a week before the event, Kyle texted Jeremy again: “We found a donor to cover the full cost of two tickets for you and Ketryna.” After prayer and talking through our full schedule, we finally replied, “Yes, we are all in.”
What followed was a whirlwind—reworking our calendar, securing a hotel and flights, completing the required background checks, and rushing to find a dress and tux. We sensed the Lord was placing this opportunity before us, and we were thrilled to step into it. It truly felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and we were deeply honored to be included.
Thanks to Jeremy’s parents, who cared for our kids, as well as support from our friends Rob and Rita Cox, everything came together. We were ready to attend what was shaping up to be one of the biggest law enforcement events of the year. The guest list was filled with major leaders from the White House and various celebrities. We went with a simple goal: to share our ministry and our heart to bring Christ to our nation’s first responders. We didn’t fully know what to expect, but we entrusted the outcome to the Lord.
A Night Filled With Worship, Testimonies, and Hope
And wow—were we blown away. Not just by the venue, but by how boldly Christ was exalted. Nearly every conversation we had, every speaker, and every musician pointed directly to Jesus. This was not the typical fundraiser or gala. It was a hope-filled gathering designed to uplift and support law enforcement at a time when so many officers are discouraged and losing hope. We know where Real Hope is found—it’s in Jesus—and that message was proclaimed again and again throughout the night.
We could share story after story from the evening, but here is one that deeply moved us.
One of the families honored at the Big Blue Bash was from Pierce County in Washington State—just south of Seattle, where Jeremy had served as an officer. Their table was right next to ours. As Kyle began to share their story, we immediately recognized it. We remembered watching their son’s memorial service. Deputy Sheriff Cooper Dyson was killed in the line of duty in December 2019 when his patrol vehicle crashed while he was responding to a “help the officer” call. His vehicle caught fire on impact, and he was tragically killed, leaving behind his expectant wife and two-year-old child.
What always stood out to us about Cooper’s story was his love for Jesus. His memorial service was a powerful testimony of his faith. When investigators recovered his burned vehicle, they found only one item untouched by the flames—Cooper’s Bible.
As Kyle held up Cooper’s Bible for the entire audience to see, the room erupted in applause to honor his parents and grandparents, who had driven across the country to be there. Jeremy was still serving in law enforcement when Cooper died, and we remember how deeply that loss impacted our law enforcement family in Washington.
After sharing their story, Cooper’s family was honored and moved to the VIP section. We were disappointed not to be seated near them anymore, but later that night Ketryna made her way over to their table to connect. She didn’t realize until afterward that she had stepped into a high-security area—but she was so thankful she did. She had the chance to briefly meet them, share a bit of our story, and exchange numbers. Now we are building a friendship that we believe will strengthen this mission of bringing Christ to this unseen mission field. Cooper’s father, a recently retired firefighter, understands the darkness these professions can experience. Only God could arrange a meeting like that—connecting us in Florida with a family tied to our home state. To God be the glory.
The entire evening was filled with moments like this—miracles, really. Worship was led by Sean Feucht, and people in the room were raising their hands to accept Christ for the first time or recommit their lives to Him. Testimonies of faith, courage, and God’s goodness were shared. Husbands were challenged to lead their wives as Christ leads the Church, and many laid hands on their wives and prayed over them, acknowledging the sacrifices their families make.
The food was incredible, but the fellowship was even better. We are so grateful to Kyle, and the team at Law Enforcement Today, for keeping Christ at the very center of the event.

Back in 2023, shortly after we launched Mission First Alliance, Jeremy came to me with an idea of doing a small retreat for potential alliance members at Protector’s Peak in Idaho (we did not have membership at this time). At first, the concept seemed like a good idea but I have to admit, I was a little skeptical. I didn’t think anyone would come, just knowing how busy we all are. But through prayer and seeking the Lord, Jeremy felt it was worth planning, so we moved forward. We invited a handful of friends and trusted the results to the Lord. I have to say, we were kind of surprised when almost every couple we invited said “yes.” God clearly had a plan, He was just looking for us to trust Him.
That very first retreat in October of 2023 turned out to be a pivotal moment for Mission First Alliance. Every couple who attended knew Jeremy and me, but they didn’t know each other. It only took about 10 minutes for everyone to feel like family though. We had come from all over the country with a heart to reach first responders and a desire to be united together. We spent those next 4 days laughing together, praying together, sharing testimonies and having time to rest and renew our calling in this mission field. The feedback we heard from those first attendees was incredible.
“This was so needed, you have to keep doing this. We need to keep meeting in person.”
from one retreat to many
We took this feedback and decided to plan 3 more leader’s summit retreats for the next year in 2024, and another 3 in 2025. At each retreat we have opened registration to anyone in the alliance interested in connecting with others. We want them to be encouraged to continue this important work of reaching first responders with the Hope of Christ. We have also felt confident in providing these retreats free of charge, but as we get closer to each retreat, there are always new registrations and also cancellations. We sometimes fill rooms last minute and sometimes we leave rooms empty, but each time we trust the Lord with the outcome. We know He has a plan for each person attending.
the 2025 idaho leaders summit recap
We just finished our 7th retreat and it was hosted again at Protector’s Peak in Idaho. This was one of those retreats where some of the bedrooms did not get filled. But God knew who needed to be there, and it wasn’t a mistake that it was a smaller crowd. Jeremy and I had such a wonderful time connecting with those in attendance, and because it was a smaller crowd, it gave each person and couple more time to share their testimony. And wow! were the testimonies powerful. We heard stories of difficult hardships within law enforcement careers while also watching the Lord work through them. We heard stories of childhood trauma, but recognizing God is working all things for our good and His Glory. We grew closer to the Lord, and we grew closer to each other. We saw spectacular views, went fishing, ate delicious food, and studied God’s Word. It was a weekend we won’t forget.
Every retreat Jeremy and I attend, we walk away encouraged and better equipped to continue to do this work. We feel energized to tackle the next season and we walk away with friendships that last far beyond the retreat. These are “our people.”

Highlights from the 2025 National First Responder Networking Conference
If you could have stood in that room — if you could have seen the tears, the laughter, the worship, and the hugs between people who had never met before — you would have known that God was there.
That’s what happened at the 2nd Annual Mission First Alliance National First Responder Networking Conference, held in Chattanooga, Tennessee, on September 18–20, 2025. Because of your prayers, support, and encouragement, this gathering became more than just a conference — it became a movement of God’s people uniting to bring Real Hope to the Heroes who serve our communities every day.

We started the weekend with our Real Hope for Heroes – First Responder Family Appreciation Event, honoring local first responders and their families. It was a joy-filled night — free dinner, live worship, the national anthem sung beautifully, a life flight helicopter landing, pipes and drums, bouncy houses, and, most importantly, conversations that opened doors to faith. Families lingered long after it ended, talking, laughing, and connecting.

This year we doubled the length of the conference, giving everyone more time to connect deeply. There were powerful testimonies, heartfelt prayers, breakout discussions, and spontaneous moments of ministry. Leaders from across the country — and even from other nations — shared openly about their challenges and victories.

Celebrating Partnerships, Purpose, and a Growing Movement
On Friday night, June 13th, supporters and first responders gathered for an unforgettable evening at the Real Hope for Heroes event—and what a night it was!
Held at the stunning Park Place LTD, the venue exceeded all expectations and provided the perfect setting to cast vision, celebrate progress, and rally support around the Mission First Alliance movement.
