Christi Hall’s journey began in southeastern Ohio, rooted in a Christian heritage and a commitment to service. Following her family’s active engagement in church and community activities, she accumulated over 30 years of ministry experience, including global disaster involvement and local church ministry. Transitioning into Law Enforcement Chaplaincy, Christi became the first female chaplain for the Columbus Sheriff’s Office and also serves the City of Groveport Police Department. As Assistant Director and a member of the Chaplain Unit, she serves over 850 officers, their families, and more than 1,900 civilian staff. Her responsibilities are extensive and impactful. She builds relationships with deputies, delivers death notifications, provides emotional and spiritual counsel, and facilitates critical incident debriefs and defusings. She also conducts hospital and home visits, performs funerals, and teaches new cadets about the chaplain program. Additionally, Christi is involved in onboarding new chaplains, planning training sessions, and collaborating with the peer support team. Chaplain Hall’s journey is a testament to her profound commitment to serving and supporting those who serve and protect our communities.
