Jeremy Wade

Jeremy Wade

Executive Director

Jeremy served for the Seattle Police Department for 13 years, but struggled with his identity in Christ vs his identity in the badge early in his career. After a few years on the department he fully surrendered his life to the Lord, which started an amazing journey that the Lord has been blessing along the way. While not free from challenges like the Seattle riots, and many critical incidents, Jeremy could see God’s hand in directing his paths.

On the Seattle PD, Jeremy was awarded Officer of the Year, and Medal of Valor. He worked in patrol, in the training unit, as a peer support coordinator, and assisted in developing the department’s first wellness unit. He co-founded the SPD Beds for Kids Program with Ryan Gallagher, which continues on today. Jeremy also served as the executive director of the Seattle Police Chaplains Association and came alongside many other local and national first responder ministries.

In 2021, Jeremy, his wife Ketryna, and four kids felt God calling them to move to Tennessee and step out in faith to do full-time ministry, supporting first responders nationwide. This led to serving as the Training & Development Coordinator for the Fellowship of Christian Peace Officers- USA until God started directing his path and opening doors to start Mission First Alliance.

Ketryna Wade

Operations Director

Ketryna grew up in a first responder family, which made the transition easier when her husband decided to go into law enforcement. Over the years, she came alongside to support and disciple many other first responder spouses. Then God opened more doors for her to support spouses during the Seattle riots, and after other critical incidents.

God has blessed Ketryna with so many organizational and artistic talents, that she now uses to serve this ministry, and ultimately first responder families nationwide.

Ketryna has been married to Jeremy since 2004, and has four beautiful children, Olivia, Dustin, Avery, and Michael (who was adopted out of foster care).

Joshua Zuray

Board Treasurer

Joshua is a born-again believer, who accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior at an early age. His father was a Seattle Police Officer, and was led to Christ by his patrol partner in their patrol car. At a young age he felt God calling him into ministry. He knew that whatever he did in life, he would somehow be involved in the mission of reaching the lost. He received a bachelor degree in Bible and Ministry from Pensacola Christian College. After college, Joshua married his best friend, Kristen. They spent nearly 7 years working in youth ministry in Virginia and having 2 daughters there. Then they traveled to Issaquah, WA and planted a church, pastored it for 10 years, and had 2 more children, a daughter and a son. Toward the end of their time at this church, they started working with a group of late teens and young adults who were falling through the cracks of society. Some were homeless, some were prostitutes, and some were just the black sheep of their schools. They started a non-profit outreach called The Trail Youth. Their entire family was involved in serving this group of young people from the very beginning. It was during this time that God began leading Joshua into the career of law enforcement. He currently serves as a patrol officer and FTO for the Spokane Police Department in WA. Prior to Spokane PD, He served as a Seattle Police Officer for 5 years, as patrol, FTO, CIT, and Peer Support. It was during his time with Seattle PD that he began to see the spiritual need in law enforcement families, and felt God calling him to minister to them. This community is unique and challenging to reach, but God has uniquely prepared him for this task after serving in both the law enforcement and the church community. Joshua and Kristen are currently developing a law enforcement ministry called Blue Refuge, who will provide resources and training for law enforcement families and churches who desire to support them.

Darren and his wife, Gina, have served on staff with The Navigators since 1988. Darren is currently the Navigators First Responder Director. Darren has served in various ministry contexts; 15 years with Navigator Collegiate ministries,15 years with Navigator Military ministries and the last 5 years with the Navigators First Responder ministries. In addition to many years of “boots on the ground” field ministry in each of these contexts, Darren has also provided national, executive level leadership in each area. Darren and Gina have a proven track record of raising up ministry leaders everywhere they have served. They also have 3 married children, and 6 amazing grandchildren, with 2 more on the way. Darren’s life motto is: “Life, ministry and influence are an overflow of walking deeply with Jesus”. He and Gina have a burden to see disciple-making leaders raised up, but are most passionate about abiding in Christ.

“Without a strong faith, First Responders are merely relying on themselves. Often times we as First Responders will find other ways to cope with our emotions after continuous traumatic events. Most of these coping mechanisms are not Christ-centered and lead to self-destruction.”
